Israel Independence Day

Students at Temple Judea of Manhasset recently met local IDF soldiers who recently completed their service. One of the soldiers who visited was a lone soldier with whom the students corresponded, as well as the dog that served with him in the K-9 unit. The dog has been retired from service and was able to accompany the soldier back to the US. The students learned  about the importance of supporting the lone soldiers who travel, mostly from other countries, to volunteer to serve Israel.
