On a beautiful, crispy clear Sunday morning, the runners of Manhasset and nearby towns came together to run and make a difference in a student’s life by running in the Fourth Annual Don Scott Memorial 5K which funds research and provides scholarships at Manhasset High School. The Don Scott Foundation is dedicated to reducing colon cancer through increasing awareness and advocating preventative measures.
Runners arrived early to check in and stretch out for the big race. Athan Anderson, a Manhasset High School student, was the first one across the finish line.
On Friday, May 16, Manhasset High School had dedicated the newly redone Manhasset High School track in a brief ceremony. Due to inclement weather, the dedication was held inside the gym.
