Dr. Cynthia Paulis, a Massapequan and frequent contributor to the Massapequa Observer, was recently honored for her contributions to the community.
Assemblyman Joseph Saladino recently honored eight accomplished women on Long Island at his 2014 Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony. The ceremony, which the assemblyman holds annually, was held at the West Islip Public Library. The event highlights outstanding and highly successful women in our community and showcases them as examples for other young women to follow.
“The women of Long Island are invaluable to our community, and this event is one way to show them our appreciation,” said Saladino. “The contributions these outstanding Women of Distinction make to our community is appreciated by everyone who has been on the receiving end of their many acts of service. I thank them for all that they do and welcome their input on issues affecting our community. They are amazing, accomplished people who display what it means to be the best of the best.”
The eight women honored at the 2014 Women of Distinction were Babylon Village Trustee Carol Amelia, Babylon Receiver of Taxes Corinne DiSomma, Dr. Cynthia Paulis, Dawn Kostakis, Babylon Town Councilwoman Jacqueline Gordon, Marilyn Roberts, Patricia Liotta, and Theresa Santmann.
