A 65-year-old man who investigators described as “a victim of violence” was found dead outside of a parochial school in Patchogue on Saturday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

Officers responded to a call of a body found outside the Emanuel Lutheran School on East Main Street, where they found the victim, who was later identified as Nicholas MacQueen, shortly before 2 p.m., police said.

The victim was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on this incident to call them at 631-852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
