Wounded Warrior Dinner
On July 16, the American Airpower Museum at 1230 New Highway in East Farmingdale will be holding a special dinner reception at 6 p.m. for those competing in the upcoming Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride on July 18. Tickets cost $50 and include dinner, beer, wine, soda and live music. You can also meet with Soldier Ride participants.

Youth Council Concert
On July 17, join the Farmingdale Youth Council, from 6:30-8:15 p.m., for a special concert on the Village Green.
Professional Networking Event
On July 17, join the Long Island Behavior Analyst Group, from 7-9 p.m., for its third networking event at the Jewel Restaurant at 400 Broadhollow Rd. in Melville. There will also be free food and drink.
Farmingdale Hawks
The next meeting of the Farmingdale Hawks athletic club will be held from 8:30-10 p.m. at Farmingdale Village Hall, 361 Main St., Farmingdale.
DJ Dancetime
On July 17, Adventureland amusement park will be having a dance party, at 5 p.m., when DJ Dancetime will be spinning the hottest dance tracks and giving out awesome prizes.

7th Annual Wounded Warrior Soldier Bike Ride
Registration for the 25-mile bicycle race from Lindenhurst to Overlook Beach in the nearby Town of Babylon, will begin at 7 a.m. sharp on July 18. Cost is $60 to participate. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
Riders will line up at Babylon Town Hall at 9 a.m. for the opening ceremonies, with the ride to begin around 9:30 a.m. After the event there will be a post-ride community picnic. For more information or to register visit soldierride.org/babylon.

Roller Rebels Tryouts
On July 19, Skate Safe America at 182 Sweet Hollow Rd. in Bethpage will be holding open tryouts for the Long Island Roller Rebels roller derby team. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with tryouts starting at 10 a.m. Tryouts are open to all females, ages 18 or older, with the proper equipment.

Team Challenge Fundraiser
On July 20, Team Challenge, an athletic training/fundraising program of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, will be holding a fundraiser from 4-8 p.m., at Palmer’s American Grille, 123 Fulton St. in Farmingdale. The event also includes a buffet, live music from Acoustically Correct, raffles, and more.

Car Show
Get your motors running. On July 20, the Airport Plaza at Rt. 110 and Conklin St. in Farmingdale, will be having a car show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets cost $5 per person and includes live music and cars of all different makes and models. All proceeds go to benefit the Sunrise Fund. In the event of rain, the car show will be postponed until July 27.

Beauty and the Beast
On July 21, come to Ellsworth Allen Park at 45 Motor Ave. in Farmingdale, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for the Plaza Theatrical Productions’ performance of the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast.
Board of Trustees Work Session
The next public work session of the Farmingdale Board of Trustees will be held at 7 p.m. on July 21 at Village Hall, 361 Main St. During the meeting the board is expected vote on the 2013-2014 budget and reserve adjustments.

Monty Python
On July 23-24, come to the Farmingdale Multiplex Cinema at 1001 Broad Hollow Road, at 7:30 p.m., for a special presentation of Monty Python Live (mostly). Unrated, 3 hours. The film will feature comedy legends John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin as they reunite on stage for performances at London’s 02 Arena.
