Christmas In July

Resurrection Church raises money

with Xmas-themed event

On Saturday, July 26, all roads lead to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and the magical merry world of trains at the 4th Annual Christmas In July Fundraiser. Festooned with glittering lights, the gym will be transformed into a winter wonderland of delight as you enter a snow-flurry world of inflatable Santas, reindeer, snowmen and mysterious nutcrackers—replete with holiday songs and music.

Rediscover the joy of childhood with a dazzling display of classic model trains from Resurrection’s own collectors and hobbyists: Jay Campson, Doug Hoffmann, Doug Kurz, Joe Mecchella, John and Jim Mesloh, Ken Meyn, and Gerhardt Muller.

For a dose of cold-weather cheer, have a joyous go at the “Train Depot” for all-you-can-eat samples of ice cream.

Back by popular demand is an exhibit of charming patchwork quilts made by quilters, Gisela Muller, Marianne Lemkau and Marian Farber. These one-of-a-kind American art forms can be purchased for yourself or as gifts at fabulous pre-holiday prices. The Jingle Bell Auction returns as Resurrection’s church groups once again present custom-made gift baskets that always create quite a buzz of excitement.

Children will delight in joyful activities and arts & crafts. So get out of the heat with a cool fun-filled fundraiser for Special Missions that captures the sweetness of the Christmas season.

The Christmas in July Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, July 26 from 2-5:15 p.m. Admission is $5 per person at the door.
