The Jericho-based Women’s Fund of Long Island (WFLI) is calling for artists, both amateur and professional, to create a design that will help make a difference. WFLI is hosting its first ever jewelry competition, where the winner will partner up with Long Island Jeweler Esther Ambalu, of East Hills’ Ambalu Jeweler, to create a limited edition necklace to benefit the organization.

“The necklace should represent the change and transformation empowered women can make in their own lives and communities” said WFLI Executive Director Stacey Scarpone.

The winning design and designer will be featured during a launch party at Ambalu Jewelers and the piece will be for sold at WFLI’s annual Women Achievers Breakfast on Oct. 23 at the Crest Hollow Country Club and at Ambalu Jewelers. Proceeds will benefit WFLI and the women and girls of Long Island.

Participants must include a completed contest application as well as sign any applicable consent forms. These can be obtained at www.womensfundli.org Any image deemed offensive will be excluded from the contest. Participation is open to anyone, any age, location or gender, with a passion for design.
