Two Roosevelt men were killed when the car they were riding in crashed on the Meadowbrook State Parkway shortly after midnight Monday.
New York State police said 22-year-old Stanley Miles was driving a Chevrolet Camaro southbound when he lost control and struck the cement center median north of the Southern State Parkway at 12:12 a.m.
After hitting the median, the car drove across all lanes of southbound traffic before hitting a tree on the right shoulder, police said.
Miles and his 31-year-old passenger Darren Gregory were pronounced dead at the scene.
While the road was closed, a marked State Police patrol car was struck by a passing motorist, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
Troopers are continuing the investigation.
