Center Cuts recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their popular establishment at 382 Willis Ave., Roslyn Heights.

Roslyn natives Doug Cohen and Justin Aronoff are co-owners and both are pleased to provide full service to their hometown customers. Indeed, the store has been described by a Roslyn Chamber of Commerce member as giving Roslyn “a full service butcher like no other,” a store with “great customer service, newly redesigned butcher store with a fantastic, fresh lunch menu.”

And indeed, the store has received glowing reviews from many of those same local customers.

“I recently went into Center Cuts expecting to see the same old deli/butcher shop that has gone in and out of that space in the past,” wrote Nicole M. of New Hyde Park. “As soon as I walked in, I was surprised and shocked to see something you really don’t see often: A bright clean family fun operation. From the second I walked in, I was greeted with an abundant amount of hello’s, good afternoons, offering to taste some of their homemade products. Not only were they welcoming the food was amazing: Fresh sliced roast beef, homemade mozzarella cheese, cakes, cookies, pies, plus their fresh produce was actually fresh. I’ll be back. I’m so excited that we finally have a great butcher in the neighborhood.”

Now that football season is here, Center Cuts is also a gathering place for Giant and Jets fans, with the sliders being described as a “must have” treat for the halftime break.

Town of North Hempstead Clerk Wayne Wink, a resident of Roslyn, plus Vito DiTrapini and Barbara Kaplan, both officers in the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Town of North Hempstead Councilman and East Hills resident Peter Zuckerman showed up later at the store, where he presented both Cohen and Aranoff with a certificate from the town.

“It is always great to have a new business open in the Town of North Hempstead, and it is specially encouraging to see two young men opening a new business here,” Zuckerman said. “Since Center Cuts has opened, my family shops here once a week and I love all their food. It is also great to see a Roslyn High School graduate and a Wheatley School graduate working together. I wish them much success for many, many years to come.”
