USA Swimming recently announced their 2013-2014 Scholastic All-American team. Sisters Cara and Molly Treble from Massapequa were among the eight Long Island Aquatic Club (LIAC) Scholastic All-Americans who achieved this accomplishment.
Molly, 18, has been a part of the Scholastic All-American team for three years, meeting all athletic and academic requirements including a minimum 3.5 GPA for the current academic year. Athletes must also achieve a time equal to a Junior National 2011 bonus time in any event during the SAA qualifying period with qualifying times in their swims. She is currently a freshman at the University of Notre Dame.
Cara, 16, traveled to Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana to compete in the 2014 NCSA Summer Swimming Championships, while Molly headed to Irvine California and competed in the 2014 Speedo Junior National Championships just last month. She is currently in her junior year of high school.
Long Island Aquatic Club has long been the top team in the metropolitan area. With swimmers qualifying for the Olympic Trials since 1996, LIAC continues to strive for excellence year after year.
Congratulations Cara and Molly!
