The Westbury Memorial Public Library held a Self Defense Seminar for Women this past Saturday. S.A.F.E. “Surviving Attacks Females Encounter” was a three-hour self-defense seminar that provided awareness training on how to avoid conflict as well as demonstrate combative techniques. Sensei Johnnie Bray, a practitioner in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Ken Zen Ichi Karate, and organizer of “Competition is Healthy,” led the seminar.
