A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a 28-year-old man in the victim’s hometown of Long Beach over the weekend, Nassau County police said.
Antonio Webb was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder and criminal possession of weapon.
Police said the 22-year-old suspect gunned down Tyrenzo Brown shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday.
Long Beach city police officers responded to a report of shots fired on Birch Court, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities have said.
Brown was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
Webb will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
