Spooktacular Halloween

Joseph Barry Knights of Columbus is hosting a spooktacular Halloween. Enjoy supermarket bingo wearing your costume (optional). Includes a costume parade, prizes, raffles, coffee and cake. American Girl Fashion Show

Our Lady of Mercy invites girls and their friends and families to experience the American Girl Fashion Show on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m., Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy School, 520 S. Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville.  This fun, engaging program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls. Proceeds from the event will benefit Our Lady of Mercy School.

Over 100 local models will present the fashions, while lively commentary, music, and decorations help create a memorable experience for girls and their families.  Audiences will delight in historical clothing, from daywear to sleepwear to special occasion clothing, that resembles what the popular American Girl characters might have worn.

The event also includes elegant refreshments, party favors, raffles, and door prizes. Reservations are $35 and can be made online at www.americangirlfashionshows.com. Fall Festival

Singles Archery Lesson

7 in Heaven will be hosting a singles event at C&B Archery, 11 Commercial St. in Hicksville. All ages and skill level are welcome. The event begins with a lesson as you learn the fundamentals of archery and get some practice. This will be followed by a meet and mingle and hot buffet and beverages. $35 cash at the door with RSVP or $29 in advance.
