Eat Well And Show Support

Plainview’s Sweet Karma Bakery is one of many Long Island restaurants, bakeries and food purveyors that are doing their part to help the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program throughout October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.

In Plainview, Brian Fishman, the baker/owner of Sweet Karma Bakery is preparing pink velvet cupcakes—a buttermilk chocolate cake with pink colored vanilla bean buttercream icing. Half the proceeds will be donated.

Other participants are Kyma in Roslyn, LL Dent in Carle Place, Ravioli and Pasta Co. in New Hyde Park, Sempre Fame in Floral Park, Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Garden City, Buttercooky Bakery in Manhasset and Floral Park and TRUE American Kitchen in Mineola.

“We hope people will support these businesses that are generously supporting us,” says Hillary Rutter, the director of the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program. For details, visit News and Events at https://www.adelphi.edu/nysbreastcancer.

Anyone who is worried about breast cancer should call the hotline for help at 800-877-8077. You are not alone.
