John F. Kennedy H.S. Publication Wins Award

Plainview-Old Bethpage High School students were recently recognized for their work on the school’s publication “Images Magazine,” which received second place from the Columbia University Scholastic Press Association, Gold Circle Awards for 2014 in spread design and an Award of Merit for cover design.

Gold Circle Awards are offered to recognize superior work by student journalists and entire staffs working with either print or online media.

Members of the “Images” club, along with faculty advisors Warren Jacobson and Rosemary Elder, were excited to be recognized for their hard work.

The “Images Magazine” staff attends workshops through Columbia Scholastic Press Association and reviews submissions, designs and lays out the art and literary magazine for publication each year.
