A new movie is being shot in Manhasset called Freeheld
. The movie has been filming conveniently at Town Hall in the Town of North Hempstead on Plandome Road in Manhasset when the offices are closed for Election Day.
The movie stars Julianne Moore and Steve Carell just to name a few. The movie is about a New Jersey car mechanic Stacie Andree and her police detective girlfriend Laurel Hester both battle to secure Hester’s pension benefits after she was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
