A 44-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking along County Road 39 in Southampton on Friday morning.

Southampton Town Police said Paulino Zeledon Hernandez was struck by a westbound vehicle near the corner of North Sea Road at 6:19 a.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not charged.

New York State Police accident reconstruction team investigators assisted in the probe.

Southampton detectives ask anyone with information regarding this incident is to call them at 631-702-2230.
