Suffolk County police are investigating a crash that killed a man in Greenlawn early Wednesday morning.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, was driving a 2009 Volkswagen westbound on Little Plains Road at 12:30 a.m. when the car left the roadway, struck a tree and a fence, crashed into two parked cars and then overturned, police said.
The man was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time after arrival, police said.
The Volkswagen was impounded for a safety check, police said.
