Author Visit
Author Maria Schulz will visit the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library auditorium at 7:30 p.m. to share her hilarious, sometimes poignant story of a not-so-typical 1970s American family that lived, loved and ate like there was no tomorrow. Her book, Tales From A Hungry Life: A Memoir With Recipes, is filled with a hearty helping of old family recipes and memories that celebrate a time, a place and a group of people who knew one thing: to eat together was to live. In the event of a large turnout, POB residents with photo ID will be admitted first, others a space permits.
