Seventeen of Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s John F. Kennedy High School students were recognized as Commended Scholars for scoring among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the nationwide Preliminary Student Aptitude Test (PSAT).
The students are 17 of approximately 34,000 students recognized throughout the nation for their exceptional academic promise. As participants of the 2015 National Merit Scholarship program, the students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success.
The following students have been named Commended Scholars for the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program: Alexandra Baker, Anthony Chen, David Gallub, David Glass, Amanda Goldstein, Nigel Kravatz, Jungmin Lee, Jordann Lewis, Jacob Pullman, Randall Rothbert, Kimberly Sieloff, Matthew Sternberg, Aaron Tetens, Julia Tsvyakh, Athina Vrosgou, Bryan Wang and Isaac Woo.
