Plowing is in progress throughout the Village of Mineola. All vehicles should now be off streets and remain off streets until plowing is completed.
Residents and businesses are reminded that all vehicles must be removed from streets whenever 2 inches or more of snow has fallen.
Vehicles must remain off streets until 24 hours after snowfall ends or until plowing is completed, whichever event first occurs.
As a reminder, when clearing snow from sidewalks and driveways, it is against village code to place snow into roadways. Snow thrown into streets creates added difficulties for plows and typically winds up back in driveways.
If you have a fire hydrant adjacent to your property, please clear it of snow to enable fire department personnel to access the hydrant in an emergency, Remember, the property you help protect may be your own.
Code enforcement are on duty to enforce all snow regulations.
