Suffolk County police are investigating and armed home invasion in East Setauket during which the victim was hit in the head with a gun last week, authorities said.

Two masked men entered an Old Town Road home through an unlocked front door, walked into the bedroom, pointed the firearm at the victim and demanded money at 3 a.m. Sunday, March 29, police said.

The assailants hit the victim in the head with the weapon before fleeing the scene with cash, police said.

Police have not made any arrests nor were description of the suspects available.

Sixth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
