The Gold Coast Arts Center becomes the Gold Acoustic Cafe On
April 18, a music venue that showcases local up-and-coming talent as well as established music acts. With its black box theater performance space and a lounge in the art gallery complete with a cash bar and refreshments, the Gold Coast Acoustic Cafe is one of the few small music venues around which makes for a special and intimate atmosphere for artists and audience alike.
On Saturday, April 18, at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7:30 p.m.,) join the Gold Coast Arts Center and Love Revolution Org. and some of the Arts Center’s friends in the music business, as they look for Long Island’s next big thing. The evening features finalists Annika, Emily Lutz and Zofolk.
Come on April 18, and see the Big Break finalists, selected by music industry judges and audience votes, who will perform for music business executives, producers, radio and TV personalities and more. They will be competing for prizes and recognition that can help boost their music careers. And remember, your votes will count in determining the winner.
And on April 18, the finalists will be up for prizes to get them started on their musical journey, including the chance to open for national acts at major venues like The Space at Westbury, recording time at The Loft Sound Studio, feature on Reverbnation.com, musical equipment from All Music Inc. And there is much more.
There is a new twist this year, as all finalists will be assigned mentors who will work with the artists to help them hone their craft before performing at the finalist showcase on April 18. Mentors are Long Island based hit makers Ryan Star, John Hampson, Ido Zmishlany and Steve Thompson.
Student tickets are $5 each and adult tickets are $10 each,
