Children and their caregivers can learn about the planet when the Giant Earth Balloon returns to Sands Point Preserve on Sunday, April 26.
They’ll get to step inside a 19-foot inflated model of the earth. And they’ll see a unique view of the planet’s huge oceans and surprisingly large continents – a view typically reserved for those traveling in space. Following the 30-minute presentation, which includes a walking tour “around the world,” as well as some time inside the inflated globe, families may stay for a “geographical” craft project. Not recommended for children under 4 years old. Registration is required and space is strictly limited in each show. There are four sessions: 11 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.
