In honor of the victims and survivors of 9/11, on April 25, the Village of Manorhaven planted a Callery Pear tree, a descendent of the only tree left standing at Ground Zero after the bombing of the World Trade Center. With Manorhaven Trustee Priscilla von Roeschlaub, the chair of the Manorhaven Tree Committee, North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth adds the first shovelful of soil to plant the tree celebrating Arbor Day in Manorhaven.
