Mineola resident Michael Eich and Carol Scheper of Howard Beach recently exchanged vows of marriage at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Howard Beach on April 11. The after wedding affair was held at Koenig’s Restaurant in Floral Park.
Both the groom and bride are members of their local fire departments. Mike is a member of the Mineola Fire Department where he is a first lieutenant in Company 3, while Carol serves as a member of the West Howard Beach Fire Department where she serves in the emergency medical services.
Needless to say there was a traditional honor guard for the new couple at the church consisting of Mineola Company 3 members and West Howard Beach members, which made for a happy wedding day.
