Third Squad detectives are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred on Sunday, June 14 at 12:27 a.m. in Westbury.
According to detectives, after attempting to make a Papa Johns food delivery to an Arlington Street residence and getting no answer at the door, the victim, a 23 year old male, was approached from behind by a male Hispanic who began hitting him in the head a metal object. After falling to the ground and screaming for help, the subject, who was now accompanied by another male Hispanic, fled on foot towards Grand Boulevard without any proceeds.
The victim, who sustained contusions to his head, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was only able to further describe the subjects as being around 17-18 years of age.
