The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a robbery that occurred at 2:10 a.m. on Friday, July 3 in Westbury.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, a TH Express taxi was called to pick up a fare in front of a residence on Livingston Street. The taxi which was occupied by the two victims, a male driver, 19, and a front male passenger, 27 who waited a few minutes until two male blacks entered the rear seat. After driving a short distance the subjects told the driver to stop. The subject seated behind the front passenger placed a knife to the passenger’s neck and demanded his wallet and earrings. The subject behind the driver restrained him as a third subject armed with a handgun walked up to the driver’s door and demanded US currency. The subjects fled on foot eastbound on Livingstone Street and into a SUV. The proceeds were an undetermined amount of US currency, earrings and a wallet containing personal papers. No injuries were reported.
