Syosset Mom Drove Drunk With Kids: Cops

Police arrested a Syosset women July 14 for driving drunk with her two young daughters in the car.

According to officers, Laura Cachell, 32, was nabbed after a witness noticed her driving her Acrua erratically along Old Country Road in Westbury at 10:40 p.m. Cops responded and found Cachell in front of The Dollar Store at 1057 Old Country Rd.

After she was arrested for intoxication, cops found several pills, including Oxycodone and Carisoprodol, in her bag. Police also located her 9 and 8-year-old daughters in the backseat of the vehicle. The children were released to their grandfather at the scene, accoding to authorities.

Cachell is charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while ability impaired/combined influence and driving while intoxicated.
