Suffolk County police are investigating a home invasion during which a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg in Shirley on Sunday night, authorities said.

Three men armed with guns entered a Lexington Road home, shot the victim and fled with stolen property at 9:17 p.m., police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. No arrests have been made.

Seventh Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
