The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Massapequa man on Tuesday, August 11, at 1:45 p.m. for a Robbery in Massapequa.
According to detectives, Daniel Brown, 25, entered the County Line Farms located at 5840 Merrick Road at 12:45 p.m. and pointed a black handgun at the female cashier, while he demanded the money from the register. Brown fled with the proceeds westbound on Merrick Road. A description of Brown was broadcast to responding officers. Two officers from the Bureau of Special Operations conducted a canvass of the area which led them to the Budget Inn located at 400 Carmen Mill Road. While conducting their investigation the officers located Brown in a room of the motel. The proceeds and a Phanton co2 cartridge BB gun were recovered. In addition Brown was found to be in possession of 3 packages of Heroin.
Brown is charged with Robbery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
