A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded during a Glen Cove home invasion this week, Glen Cove police said.
Two suspects were seen running from the scene on Eldridge Place and the victim, who was shot in the chest, ran from the home before collapsing on a nearby street shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
“We are considering this incident a home invasion situation where we believe the victim and shooter are known to each other,” Glen Cove Det. Lt. John Nagle said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, and was admitted in critical condition.
