In the Sept. 23-29 “Around The Town With Lou,” Mr. Sanders mentioned having seen that there is a hotel in Japan run completely by robots. Not to be funny, but do they own it too and if it has a kitchen, are the chef’s robots? Who knows, perhaps they can taste what they cook to see if it is right.
Mention was also made that “Incidentally, the word ‘robot’ comes from the Russian word ‘ro-bitski,’ meaning to work.” From a reliable source, I saw that in the Slovak language ‘robot’ means worker. That also fits quite well.
I began doing some Internet research to learn about the name Sanders being that Bernie Sanders is presently a presidential candidate. So far I have found no dark cloud or shadow hanging over him.
He seems to be very popular and is said to have broken the record for how quickly he has gained one million individual donations.
I discovered that the name Sanders is more prominent than I realized. Many did migrate here to escape the British Queen ‘Bloody’ Mary, famine and for other reasons.
Colonel Sanders, after many years of a ‘trying’ life, became successful with KFC. And we also have Lou Sanders, founding father of the Mineola American.
