Arthur Lih, of Massapequa, recently showcased his invention, a device designed to prevent choking, at a recent meeting of the Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola.
Lih’s invention, called LifeVac, is a medical device that can clear the airway of a child in the event of choking and, as a result, save lives. The invention is a non-powered, single patient, portable suction apparatus designed to remove an object from an obstructed airway.
LifeVac has recently been featured on Channel 7 Eyewitness New, the Stu’s Views & MS News Blog, Speechpathology.com and on Doctor Radio on Sirius XM Radio. It also has been sold to several Long Island fire departments. More information of Lifevac can be found at LifeVac.net.
