Peter Zuckerman is running on the Democratic Party line for re-election to the Town of North Hempstead council’s second district. Below is his campaign statement.
“I am running for reelection so that I can continue to serve the people of district two. I believe they deserve someone with experience and know how. I have started several important projects and I plan on completing those and visioning many others for the future. I know that public safety and quality of life issues are very important to residents of the great Roslyn area. Along with Supervisor Judi Bosworth, I will continue to work with Nassau County to improve safety on Roslyn Road. I also believe basic infrastructure improvements will have an impact. The Roslyn Long Island Rail Road train station’s parking lot is receiving a makeover this year and I ensured that numerous streets in my district were repaved, as needed. Over the weeks and months ahead, I will continue the push to reopen the Roslyn Country Club, a project that is of immense importance to my constituents. More than anything, I believe my record speaks for itself. I will continue to work incredibly hard for the people of Albertson, East Hills, East Williston, Glenwood Landing, Greenvale, Herricks, Manhasset Hills, Roslyn Harbor, Roslyn Heights and Searingtown.”
