North High School will present the musical satire, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, on Thursday, Nov. 12, and Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m., in the school’s auditorium, 35 Polo Rd. There will not be a Saturday, Nov. 14, performance.
The story’s hero, J. Pierpont Finch, a young window washer, pores over a how-to book for transforming himself into a tycoon. He soon bluffs his way into the mail room at the World Wide Wicket Company and onto a job as a junior advertising executive. However, when Finch is tricked into a disastrous ad campaign, the book offers no answers and he must fend for himself to save his job. The boss’s nephew, a backstabbing villain, and a pretty secretary, Finch’s true love, add intrigue and merriment.
