Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph G. Pinto (left) and Town Clerk James Altadonna Jr. (back row center) recently attended the Special Olympics rUNDEAD 5K Zombie Survival Run held at Brady Park, Massapequa. The rUNDEAD is a 5K trail run where runners try to escape hungry Zombies. Participants have the option of registering as either a runner or a zombie. Zombies throughout the course chase and try to remove three flags from the Runner that represents their lifeline. Proceeds from the rUNDEAD Survival Run go on to benefit the Special Olympics of New York.
