A 33-year-old man was shot and killed in his hometown of Roosevelt, Nassau County police said.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at the corner of Ellison and Pleasant avenues, where they found Gerber Hernandez with a gunshot wound at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he died four hours later.
No arrests have been made.
