Roslyn High School physical education teacher Vera Trenchfield is the recipient of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) Nassau Zone 2015 Amazing Person Award.
“Vera continually demonstrates her professionalism by sharing her knowledge and expertise with others,” said Colleen Corsi, executive director. “We are grateful for and tremendously proud of Vera and pleased to count her as one of our valued members.” The award recipients will be honored at the Amazing Person Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the NYS AHPERD annual conference at the Turning Stone Convention Center in Verona, NY. On Nov. 5, Trenchfield was honored by the Roslyn Board of Education.
