The Metropolitan Commercial Bank hosted an opening night gala for the inaugural edition of its Bank on Art community showcase series, which features Great Neck North and South student artists.
More than 30 student paintings are on display for this two–month long showing. During the opening gala, student musicians provided musical accompaniment for the more than 50 guests. The gallery-like display highlights the incredible artistic talent at Great Neck Public Schools and gives students a platform to share their artwork with family, peers and the Great Neck community.
“Giving local student artists the opportunity to showcase their work is just one of the ways Metropolitan Commercial Bank intends to get involved in the Great Neck community,” said Metropolitan Commercial Bank CEO Mark DeFazio. “We specifically designed our new banking center so that we could provide a unique meeting space for local community groups, whether that’s our local schools, a business networking group or a charitable organization. Becoming an active member of the community in which our banking centers are located is an integral part of our business model.”
The Bank on Art series will be showcasing the creativity, vision and artistic talent of both amateur and professional local artists throughout the year at Metropolitan’s newly opened banking center at 111 Great Neck Rd.
“Great Neck Public Schools is thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Metropolitan Commercial Bank to demonstrate our students’ many talents,” said Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education Trustee Susan Healy. “Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s student-art showcase was a wonderful community event, and we look forward to participating again in the future.”
