Jimmy Berg of Great Neck has been appointed to the board of Sunrise Association, which has the mission of bringing back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings worldwide through the creation of Sunrise Day Camps, year-round programs and in-hospital recreational activities, all offered free of charge.
For more than 30 years, Berg has worked in the retail automotive business and is currently the owner of Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale and Sunrise Chevrolet in Forest Hills. Sunrise Toyota is a perennial winner of the Toyota Presidents award as a top-volume dealer in the NY Region for Toyota.
Berg has served on many nonprofit boards, such as Greater New York Automobile Dealer Association, The Associated, Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, The Ronald McDonald House of Maryland, Boys’ Latin School of Baltimore, Lifebridge Health, Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Jewish Federations of North America and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
