Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph G. Pinto (left) recently attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly opened New York Blood Donor Center in Massapequa. New York Blood Center (NYBC) is one of the largest community-based, nonprofit blood collection and distribution organizations in the United States. Through the integrated efforts of various blood service operations, NYBC annually provides one million blood components to nearly 200 hospitals throughout the New York/New Jersey area.
