Carle Place Key Club members recently assisted the Mineola County Seat Kiwanis at their annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast. Members of the Key Club helped to serve breakfast and interact with many senior citizens that attend the breakfast annually.
“The pancake breakfast was such a worthwhile experience for me. I learned interesting things about some of these people and who they were and where they came from,” said freshman Julia Winer.
“I thought it was a really great experience to help serve breakfast for Kiwanis. It felt really good to know that volunteering was making a difference. Many people thanked me for volunteering and I even got to help educate people on what the Carle Place Key Club does,” said student Daniela Posillico.
