The walls of the Jericho Public Library Gallery will be covered in the bright colors and imaginative designs of youngsters for the entire month of March. The library is hosting a student art show by students of Sally Feng’s “Sally International Studios” of Jericho.
The artists’ work will hang in the gallery for the entire month and the young artists range in age from 6 to 16 years old. The art works will include oil paintings, watercolors, fashion design, abstract art and more, showing the full range of imagination and talent of these young creative minds.
“The students have been working very hard to present their best work in the show,” said Feng. “They feel very honored and proud to display their work to the public. All of our families have contributed time and energy and we feel confident that the public will enjoy the show.”
Feng,is an award-winning artist who has had solo art shows domestically and overseas, including a solo show in Beijing last year. One of her pieces was recently selected to represent the U.S. in a multi-national show opening in Manhattan this summer. Her work may be viewed at www.sallystudio.com.
Despite the demands of her busy schedule, Feng makes time to teach her craft to the younger generation, believing that all children are possessed with imagination and vision which should be nurtured and developed.
