Members of the Sons of Italy, John Michael Marino Lodge #1389, presented Manorhaven Mayor Giovanna Giunta with food donations and gift cards at the Village of Manorhaven Food Drive for the benefit of the Our Lady of Fatima Food Pantry. The annual food drive runs through March 31. Donations are being accepted at the village hall. Donations of nonperishable food, canned foods, tuna, pasta, cooking oil, mac and cheese, cereal, rice, juice bags, cookies and crackers are accepted. Grocery gift cards are welcome.
“For the past two years we have held a winter food drive at village hall spearheaded by our Court Clerk Nancy Greene,” said Mayor Giunta. “Each year the need grows greater to fill Our Lady of Fatima’s Food Pantry. We are so appreciative of all the kindness and generosity of our residents, neighbors and staff who help make this possible and are proud to be part of such a good and necessary cause.”
Expired food will be thrown out per the Board of Health. For more information call Nancy Greene at 516-883-7000, ext. 12.
