Panera Bread presented a check for $13,167 to National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) on March 9. Raised during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of the proceeds from sales of its iconic Pink Ribbon Bagel benefited NBCF, whose mission is helping women now by providing help and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.
As part of Panera’s mission to give back to the communities it serves, the funds raised will support various programs, including free mammogram and diagnostic breast care services for women.
Participating Panera Bread locations owned and operated by Doherty Enterprises on Long Island include: Bay Shore, Bellmore, Bohemia, Bridgehampton, Carle Place, East Meadow, East Northport, Farmingdale, Garden City, Glen Cove, Hauppauge, Hampton Bays, Hicksville, Huntington Station, Huntington Village, Island Park, Lake Grove, Lawrence, Massapequa, Mineola, New Hyde Park, North Babylon, Patchogue, Plainview, Port Jefferson, Riverhead, Rockville Centre, Syosset, Valley Stream and West Babylon.
