Body Found on Beach in Setauket Harbor ID’d as Plane Crash Victim

A man found dead on the beach in Setauket Harbor on Monday morning was identified as someone who has been missing since a small, single-engine plane crash two months ago, Suffolk County police said.

Gerson Salmon-Negron, 23, of Queens, was found shortly after 9 a.m., police said. Three others were rescued from the crash.

Homicide Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
