On Friday, April 8, Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington held its most successful gala in its 47-year history at Leonard’s of Great Neck. More than 250 guests and sponsors came to support the mission to make Port Washington the best place to live and raise a family. The theme of the gala, Destination Port Washington, was chosen to reinforce excitement in all that Port Washington offers. Trailblazing honorees were Jennifer Rimmer and Laurie Scheinman’s wit & whim. The Peter and Jeri Dejana Family Foundation was the gala underwriter. Community Award winners were Chuck Idol and Barbara Faticone. Residents Director of Development Lisa Grossman said, “Port boasts an impressive list of people who are considered visionary and dedicate a good deal of their time to bettering our community. Yet few have the level of energy, foresight or devotion as Jennifer Rimmer and Laurie Scheinman.” Residentsgala041316B
