What is the price of someone’s life?

It’s very disturbing to hear what happened to young girl in the (Thomaston) Equinox Gym (published Jan. 31 www.manhassetpress.com).
But is more recklessly and carelessly shows how our villages and North Hempstead run their businesses.
How did the building department give approvals to a gym to open without having a central camera system that could monitor the pool section from the front desk?
Most of these officials are just looking for next elections and to be elected again, but do they care for life and the safety of people?
You can’t imagine what’s going on. How corruption and scandals are destroying our villages and towns.
