Carson Daly of NBC’s Today Show made a surprise visit to Adventures in Learning last week. Strolling from classroom to classroom, he inquired about the students activities, homework and school in general. He was impressed with the after-school enrichment programs, its caliber, professionalism and cheerful atmosphere.
Daly was so excited about Adventures that he went home and insisted that his wife, Siri Pinter, visit. She did so. Several days later, she also came away excited and enthusiastic about Adventures. Pinter is a food contributor for the Today Show and has a food blog called Siriously Delicious.
Diana Holden, director of Adventures noted, “We were delighted to have the Dalys visit us. Not only could they observe our remarkable program, but they also mentioned how pleased they were to see an additional diverse aspect of our community. Everyone at Adventures asks that they come back to visit again very soon.”
Founded 46 years ago by the Congregational Church of Manhasset, Adventures in Learning is a nonprofit organization at 65 High St. dedicated to improving the lives of children in need of after-school care and instruction.
